COMEA lands in Kaohsiung to support the first local submarine cable plant.
A significant international milestone in the development of the submarine offshore wind and green energy in Asia.
Our collaboration in this major initiative is being led by a joint venture formed by two of the world’s leading companies in submarine cables manufacturing.
We’ve just arrived in Kaohsiung to begin the installation supervision of six degassing vessels to produce high-voltage submarine cables for Taiwan’s first plant.
With the aim of giving our customer turnkey solutions, 6 jib crane brand GH Cranes will be supplied and installed in the plant to equip each degassing vessel.
Located on an area of over 230,000 m² and 59,828 m² of building area, the plant, expected to be fully operational by 2027, will manufacture high-voltage cable for export and for offshore wind turbine power generation.
The project allows us to continue playing a vital role in the green energy transition away from our home markets.
This incredible journey in Asia provides once again that Italian engineering can power the world’s most ambitious energy projects.
Thanks to our customer and partners for their trust and look forward to supporting the successful completion of this innovative project.
We work to realize your world!
